Starting out of his home on Willow Hill Drive in Harrisonburg, Eddie Edwards began his Harrisonburg sign company with meticulously crafted hand-painted signs in 1952. He understood the value of hard-work, careful craftsmanship and relationships, putting his heart and creativity into growing his Harrisonburg sign company for the next 40 years. During that time he expanded his shop and the scope of his services, producing signs with new materials and techniques for clients along Western Virginia and West Virginia.
In 1991, Local Chris Runion Bought The Business.
Ready to continue his entrepreneurial spirit in the Shenandoah Valley Chris Runion took over Eddie Edwards Signs in 1991. His values aligned with the original brand of Eddie Edwards Signs, with great attention paid to excellent customer service through quality craftsmanship and attention to relationships through offering full-service sign solutions. His brother Bob was hired as an operations manager in 1996.
2001 Welcomed The Expansion Into A Larger Building In A New Harrisonburg Location.
With greater fabrication capabilities came the need for more space. In 2001 Eddie Edwards Signs moved across town from Willow Hill Drive to Waterman Drive in Harrisonburg. The new facilities allowed for expanded in-house production and a faster turn around time for customers.
